PRESS RELEASE: Central Ohio’s ‘Medical Staffing Options ‘Awarded Joint Commission Certification
[Columbus, Ohio]-- Medical Staffing Options is proud to be among the first travel nurse companies in the state to achieve the Gold Seal of Approval for healthcare staffing excellence. The Joint Commission on has awarded MSO with Health Care Staffing Services Certification after undergoing an on-site review of its compliance (http://www.jointcommission.org/).
MSO meets the rigorous national standards that determine a travel nursing agency’s competency and qualifications, as well as for how staff assignments are made and performance monitored. “This achievement demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, high-quality care to patients,” says Robert Gammill, President of Medical Staffing Options. “In these changing times, travel nurses offer flexibility for hospitals and other health care providers to meet their staffing needs in a
cost-effective and well-planned manner.
MSO has provided staffing at a number of facilities, including Mt. Carmel Health, OhioHealth Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, University of Arizona Medical Center, and St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. “Recently we assisted The Ohio State University Medical Center when they were updating electronic medical records. OSU was sending regular staff to training, so they needed to hire 100 nurses to fill in and augment the staff while they were in training, “says Gammill. “It was great to be able to contribute to the effort that’s so crucial to a major hospital.”
